The Pico Union Neighborhood Council (PUNC) consists of 15 community members who live, work, or own property within the boundaries of Pico Union.
PUNC's goal is to continually improve the neighborhood by making it a better and safer place to live.

About Pico Union Neighborhood Council
The Pico Union Neighborhood Council (PUNC) promotes public participation in government and works to improve government responsiveness to local concerns.
PUNC is comprised of stakeholders who share a common goal. That goal is to continually improve the neighborhood and make it a better and safer place to live. PUNC is charged with enduring the integrity of spirit of the bylaws and guidelines set forth by the City of Los Angeles.
Purpose
The Purpose Statement of PUNC is to participate as an advisory body on issues of concern to our neighborhood council and in the governance of the City of Los Angeles.
Mission
The Mission of this council is to provide an inclusive open forum for public discussion of issues concerning City governance, the needs of this neighborhood council, delivery of City services to this neighborhood council and on matters of a Citywide nature.
Meetings
PUNC General Board Meetings are held the 1st Monday of the each month at 1130 S Vermont Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90006.

Council Committees

Executive
Committee
Manages issues affecting the Board and sets the agenda items for the next general board meeting.

Youth
Committee
To support youth programs, encourage youth participation in the council system, educate stakeholders about local youth issues, and keep the Board informed of locally available youth events and resources.

Outreach
Committee
Promote the activities of the PUNC within the community and invite stakeholder participation through various means including the website and community events.

Transportation
Committee
To form liaisons with the Los Angeles Department of Transportation and other public agencies to resolve transportation issues in the Pico Union area.

Quality of Life
and Safety
Committee
To monitor and hold accountable private and public organizations that impact the community’s quality of life and safety.

Zoning, Land Use, and Planning
Committee
To review and obtain public input on any zoning, land use and planning issues that affect the community.

Ad-Hoc Bylaws
Committee
To review and revise the Pico Union Neighborhood Council's Bylaws as needed.
